Let’s Make a Dance Workshop

Let’s Make a Dance is a workshop based on Larry Keigwin and Nicole Wolcott’s unique collaborative creative process. They believe that the art of choreography is about excavating personalities, shaping stories and building communities. Let’s Make a Dance guides participants through a choreographic process using games and guided improvisation to enable individuals to discover their own physicality and transform themselves into performers. The goal for Let’s Make a Dance is to harness the group’s collective enthusiasm for dance through a combination of movement and imagination. The result will be a fun learning experience that highlights the creative process and emphasizes that dance is a journey taken with others.

This class is suitable for intermediate and advanced dancers ages 12 and up. Registration is required as space is limited; click here to register.
