Heidi Thaldorf Bacon started creating art from an early age and is now a self taught freelance Representational artist, working in oils, acrylics, watercolor, pen & ink, and clay to create portraits, landscapes, murals, furniture, fiber arts, jewelry, and illustrations. Heidi was featured in the 2014 edition of the Artist’s Catalog, has illustrated for Country Living Magazine, has owned and operated art galleries and an arts cooperative. Recent illustrations are found in the children’s book My Grandma Makes Lefse and How to Make Grandma Skarstad’s Lefse. Both books written by Heidi’s sister, Becky Thaldorf Latka, inspired by their Grandmother Thora Wikre Skarstad’s lefse factory in Holmen, WI in the 1960’s.
